Welcome! Big Sam here, mural artist, street/performer artist, graphic designer, painter, musician. At nearly 7 feet tall, the name “Big Sam” started to evolve with the combination of the size of my paintings and actions that I strive to take in my career and life path.

I was raised in rural New Hampshire where my love for for both art and music began. After moving to Boston to attend Boston University College of Fine Arts, I became inspired and charged by the urban world around me - slowly starting to realize that the possibilities are endless.

Following my freshman year, I landed a design internship at Seltzer Creative Group in New York City. Yet again, the urban city, this time on a much larger scale, made me feel so inspired.

Big Sam’s Paints gained its first big lift on the day of the 2018 Red Sox Victory Parade in Boston where I was painting portraits of Mookie Betts and David Price. Both paintings sold on the street and gained recognition from WBZTV/CBS news. Since, the ball seems to keep rolling some way or another and I am currently earning my degree as well as actively progressing my vision and dream of Big Sam’s Paints, currently in Boston.

Keep it Positive,

Big Sam
